Girraween Country Inn is excited to announce  we will soon be  the cellar door for  Saint Jude Wines .

The Granite Belt Wine Country grows vines  at over 1000 meters above sea level and I believe the region does medium body wines best . .

There is a “”strange birds wine tour” in the district where one can visit the many wineries in the region and enjoy the “strange birds” aka alternative varietals of wine. To be eligible to be a “strange bird “, the vine must represent less than 1 % of commercial vines in Australia.

We have 300 vines in our vineyard at the Inn comprising of Shiraz and Graciano . Graciano is a black skinned grape from Northern Spain and is our strange bird .

May I suggest taking a picnic prepared by Shelley and  ambling  through our vineyard and  find the perfect perfect  spot !
