Our Wedding Reception Venue is a blank canvas – for you to be creative. Guests will enjoy, genuine Australian country bush atmosphere, granite boulders, unique to this area. Girraween Country Inn Ballandean on the Granite Belt Highlands, an elegant European two storey Inn, nestled in amongst the bushland of the Girraween National Park, known for its spectacular wildflowers, dramatic landscapes and unique wildlife… all right here on our doorstep with direct walking access to the park. Girraween Country Inn Ballandean, on the Granite Belt highlands is one of Stanthorpe’s Romantic Wedding venues. Experience a delightful wedding, where your guests will be treated to a Country Destination in the surrounds of natural bushland and boulders of the Granite Belt. There are multiple rooms at the Inn where you and your guests can celebrate your special day. Girraween Country Inn has endless options for perfect places to say I do. We offer a ceremony space for every theme.
You’re welcome to choose your own celebrant, vendors, caterers, styling, musicians and props to make your day unique. Alternatively, we can offer in-house catering, our menu is available on our web site and is typical of the food we serve for weddings, featuring our offset smoker meats. We are fully licenced property with restaurant that seats 40-50 guests and bar facilities with relaxed areas to make the venue a unique space for you and your guests to celebrate. Your privacy is assured with exclusive use of the property. Capture all the special moments with photos overlooking the Granite Belt Wine Region.
You can have your reception in our restaurant or you can choose to have it in a marquee, from canapes and spectacular sunsets overlooking the National Park range, the options are endless and can be tailored to your special day.

- The Inn has fireplaces throughout the building for the cold winter and during summer, the Inn is delightfully cool
- The Restaurant is fully licenced and comfortably seats 40-50 guests
- The Inn can accommodate the wedding party and selected friends of up to 38 people, combining A Four Poster Queen Bed, 6 King Rooms, a Two Bedroom Family suite, a Two Bedroom Family Self-Contained Unit and a Chalet that sleeps 6-14
- Parties larger than this number can be accommodated nearby – we will gladly help with this arrangement
- Sole use of the premises gives you an exclusive and private venue so you can truly relax and enjoy your very special day

The Granite Belt is home to some of Australia’s best wineries, many with new emerging wine varieties. Granite Belt Wine Country is Australia’s highest wine region. Stanthorpe, Ballandean and the surrounding countryside is dotted with welcoming boutique wineries and in Eukey road the Inn is surrounded by boutique wineries and cellar doors. We have a small vineyard onsite and cellar door. We have planted the Graciano grape variety and now we have over 300 vines. The existing vines are shiraz grapes. Graciano is a black-skinned wine grape from Norther Spain. Beyond Shiraz, there are the Granite Belt’s magnificent “alternate” varietal wines. Our Strangebirds. To be called an “alternative” a variety must represent not more than 1% of the total bearing vines in Australia. Graciano is our Strangebird red wine.
